Community involvement
Our school values strong partnerships with our families and community. Parents and carers can get involved through our Parents and Citizens Association (P&C) or by volunteering at our school. Your time and support help make our school a better place for everyone.
Parents and Citizens Association (P&C)
The Forest Hill Public School (FHPS) P&C Association is a fundraising and support body that helps the school by providing funds for resources and excursions, managing a uniform shop, and organizing events with active involvement from parents and community members. They raise money through events and grants to enhance student learning and wellbeing, supporting the school's focus on academic, cultural, and social development for its diverse student body.
What They Do:
- Fundraising: Organise events to raise funds for school needs like classroom resources, transport and excursions.
- Uniforms: Manage a uniform shop to provide affordable uniforms and payment options for families.
- Community Support: Offer a platform for parents to get involved in school life, supporting teachers and students.
- Resource Provision: Contribute to essential items like hats for new students and supporting various school programs.
How to get involved:
- Join P&C meetings.
- Volunteer for school activities, sports days, or excursions.
- Help with fundraising events.
Joining the P&C a great way to meet other families, get involved and contribute to our school's future. We would love to have you on board!
